Ottawa Farmers’ Market: Christmas market

Date: December 1 to 23, 2018 (Saturdays and Sundays) from 9am to 3pm 
Location: Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne, 1000 Exhibition Way, Ottawa, Ontario

Premium quality, Ottawa-area fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers and crafts! 


Santa Shuffle Ottawa

Date: December 1, 2018
Location: Lansdowne, Ottawa, Ontario

The Santa Shuffle is an annual 5km Fun-Run and 1km Elf Walk to raise funds for local Salvation Army initiatives, which provide hope and support to those in need across Canada. This family-oriented event takes place in 38 locations across Canada. The event is held in proud partnership with the Running Room.


OC Transpo Loblaw Annual Food Drive

Date: December 1, 2018 from 9am to 6pm
Location: Various locations around the city (see website)

OC Transpo buses will be parked outside participating Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Your Independent Grocer and No Frills stores across the city. Volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations.

Mayor’s 18th Annual Christmas Celebration

Date: December 8, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm
Location: City Hall - 110 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, Ontario

Join Mayor Jim Watson as he hosts the Mayor’s 18th Annual Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 8 at Ottawa City Hall, in support of the Ottawa Food Bank. Come ice skate on the Sens Rink of Dreams, take a horse-drawn wagon ride on the downtown streets surrounding City Hall, then indulge in delicious Beaver Tails!


Holidays at the Parks

Date: December 9, 2018 from 12pm to 4pm 
Location: Wesley Clover Parks, 411 Corkstown Road, Ottawa, Ontario

Activities for everyone including a vendor’s row, kids craft station, and more! Don’t forget to drop by Santa’s Grotto for a chance to meet and take a picture with Santa!


Hip Hop Food Drive

Date: December 13, 2018 at 9pm
Location: Kinki Lounge, 41 York Street, Ottawa, Ontario

With the success of last year’s donations, Bring Ya Eh Game is proud to bring back the Hip Hop Food Drive for a 4th year as there is a need for this initiative in the community. Tickets at the door are $5 with a non-perishable food donation or $10 without.

The Snowsuit Fund


Ottawa has cold winters, and the Snowsuit Fund helps those in need keep warm this winter. Volunteers are always needed to ensure the smooth operation of the distribution of snowsuits! 


Dre Bureau's guignolée – Gatineau Social Pediatric Centre

Date: December 15 and 16, 2018
Location: More than 35 different locations

Dre Bureau's Food Drive is one of the main financing activities of the Social Pediatrics Centre of Gatineau, in addition to being a major festive event. Help out and raise funds that will go directly to the children's services.
